With this win, the Gujarat Titans top the league table and remain favorites to finish in first place. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Indians, who were on a six-match winning streak, had their run cut short by the Titans. Currently, the Mumbai Indians sit on 14 points, with two more games at hand. To qualify for the playoffs, they need to win their remaining matches, as the race for the top four intensifies.
