Former England all-rounder Moeen Ali wants to see the chinaman Kuldeep Yadav in the Manchester Test, but is unsure who he would replace in the starting 11.

Speaking to the Times of India, Moeen praised his former CSK teammate Ravindra Jadeja for his batting display in the 3rd Test of the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. Notably, Jadeja scored twin fifties at Lord's and showed resilience while chasing 193 runs in the 2nd innings. His knock was highly appreciated by experts. Moeen said Jadeja has excelled with the bat in this series.

However, Moeen was critical of Jadeja’s bowling, pointing out that despite bowling well, he hasn’t taken many wickets. Jadeja has only taken 3 wickets in the series so far.

“He can bowl, but he’s not outstanding… I think now he’s at the peak of his batting. Bowling-wise, he just doesn’t have the wickets. He’s bowled well, but the wickets haven’t come,” Moeen told India Today.

Moeen Ali Wants Kuldeep Yadav in Playing 11 but Faces Selection Dilemma

Meanwhile, Moeen wants to see Kuldeep Yadav in the playing 11, but with Jadeja’s batting form and Washington Sundar’s knack for taking wickets, Moeen feels Kuldeep may not find a spot in the team.

“I would like to see Kuldeep in the team, but I don’t know who for. Washington bowled well, and Jadeja batted well. So it makes it difficult to bring Kuldeep Yadav in the side. I would like to see Kuldeep in, but I don’t think they can fit him in,” Moeen concluded.
