As per reports in Cricbuzz, the former Indian fielding coach T Dilip is all set to make a return to the national team after getting an extension from the BCCI. The report further said that Dilip has been given a one-year extension and will be travelling with the Indian team to England.
The BCCI decided to cut short the Indian coaching staff after India's Test results against New Zealand at home and Australia down under. Losses to the Kiwis and the Aussies meant that India did not make it to the WTC 2025 final.
The BCCI snubbed Assistant coach Abhishek Nayar, bowling coach Morne Morkel and fielding coach T Dilip as part of their assessment of India's losses.

Rohit Sharma Paved The Path For T Dilip's Comeback
Both Dilip and Abhishek Nayar were close to Rohit Sharma and it is being reported that Rohit has played a huge role in convincing the BCCI to bring back Dilip to the Indian team. Nayar, meanwhile, joined KKR as the Assistant Coach after his time with the national side. Sources close to the BCCI revealed that Rohit Sharma despite announcing his Test retirement requested Gambhir to bring him back into the setup. Ryan ten Doeschate, who was likely to replace him will now stay on as the assistant coach.

India A Squad Reached The UK
Meanwhile, the India A team along with a few players of the Test squad has already landed in England. The India A side that will be playing two first-class games against the England Lions at Canterbury and Northampton. The side will then play an intra-squad game against the senior men's Test team before the Test series against England begins from June 20. Meanwhile, the man Indian Test side will depart for the UK on June 6 from Mumbai.
India A squad: Easwaran (C), Jaiswal, Nair, Jurel (VC) (WK), Reddy, Thakur, Kishan (WK), Suthar, Kotian, Mukesh, Akash Deep, Harshit Rana, Kamboj, Khaleel, Ruturaj, Sarfaraz, Deshpande, Dubey.
Note: Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan will join ahead of the second match.
