Gujarat Titans (GT) pacer Prasidh Krishna has made a mark in IPL 2025 after taking 19 wickets so far in the season. He has been a difficult bowler to tackle for opposition batters.
Prasidh Krishna (19 wickets) and Josh Hazlewood (18 wickets) are the top two pacers on the Purple Cap list. Their success is relevant to their IPL teams' success as well.
GT is placed second while RCB is third on the IPL 2025 points table. MI, GT and RCB are all locked on 14 points and look good to make it to the playoffs. Krishna took 2 wickets for 19 runs in his team's win over SRH on Friday.

Prasidh Krishna A Mirror Image Of Josh Hazlewood - Aakash Chopra
With India touring England next month for a five-match Test series, former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has backed Prasidh Krishna to be included in the squad. Reviewing the GT vs SRH game on his, Chopra likened Prasish to Hazlewood, saying both the bowlers are similar in nature as they hit the pitch hard.
"Krishna will become Prasidh. He has the Purple Cap and Sai Sudharsan has the Orange Cap. It seems like he and Hazlewood are mirror images of each other. They are similar kinds of bowlers. They have a high-arm action and pitch the ball slightly behind the good length, and trouble the batters a little with bounce," Chopra said.
"They change their pace slightly, but the slower one is not very good. They don't rely too much on yorkers and bowl sharp bouncers. It was a god-like performance. I feel you should take him to England. If he remains in such form, he should be on the flight to England, and I really hope he is," he added.
Krishna was named the Player of the Match for GT's win over SRH. Besides taking 19 wickets, he has maintained an economy rate of less than 8 runs per over in 10 games this season so far. GT looks like one of the favorites to make the playoffs.
