Mumbai Indians (MI) are off to a slow start against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ongoing match 63 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season at the Wankhede Stadium. The ever-reliable opening duo of Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma were dismissed inside the power play, as DC bowlers were right on the money after Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to chase.
Another day, another left-arm fast bowler managed to dismiss Rohit Sharma for just (5) runs as Mustafizur Rahman managed to provide the first breakthrough. After that dismissal, Rickelton tried to put pressure back on DC bowlers by managing to strike some lusty blows. However, he failed to convert his start into a big score, as he was out for (25) runs. Later, Suryakumar Yadav stabilized the innings and is looking in ominous form to take MI to a competitive total.

For DC, Kuldeep Yadav is looking good, on a little bit two-paced Wankhede surface. He has got some turn and bounce, and that should be encouraging sign.
Onus on Suryakumar Yadav to take MI to a challenging score
With Suryakumar Yadav set, he needs to play the anchor role to take MI to at least a total above 180. As it is not a typical flat Wankhede wicket, anything above 180 should give MI bowlers a chance to defend the total against a strong DC batting lineup. After 10 overs, MI are 80 for the loss of three wickets.
