India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is yet to fully recover from the blow he copped up in his left index finger during the first day of play in the third Lord's Test against England. The southpaw grimaced in pain and immediately went off the field. Dhruv Jurel kept for the remainder of the innings. The BCCI medical team is currently monitoring the situation.

It is still not clear whether Pant will keep on Day two of the third Test. As of now, Jurel is keeping in the second Day as well. BCCI shared the same on their official X handle, stating the southpaw has been continuously monitored.

Day two crucial for India as the bowlers aim to get early wickets

Speaking about the ongoing Lord's Test, India ended Day one on 251/4. It was hard toil for the bowlers as the English batters played attritional and traditional Test cricket. Bowlers hardly got help. On the second Day, the visitors will be aiming to bundle the hosts out below 400 runs. Jasprit Bumrah is the key, as he is known to swing the new ball at a decent amount of pace. If India manages to keep the hosts to a considerable total, then their batters have a chance to cash in on a good Lord's surface on Day Two.
