Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah went wicketless on day 2 of the Manchester Test as England ran away with the proceedings. While Bumrah kept things tight from one end, the rest of the bowlers kept leaking runs from the other end.
England scored 225 runs for the loss of two wickets on day 2 of the Test match, with Ben Duckett (94 runs off 100 balls) and Zak Crawley (84 runs off 113 balls) adding a 166-run stand for the first wicket.
The England openers ran riot as they scored at a run-rate of over five runs per over. Mohammed Siraj did not start the innings with Jasprit Bumrah from the other end. Nasser Hussain said giving the new-ball to the debutant Anshul Kamboj was a mistake from Gill, the young skipper.

Bumrah Having Animated Conversation With Gambhir And Morkel
Meanwhile, during the first session of the third day’s play, a video of Bumrah having an animated conversation with Gambhir and Morkel started making the rounds on social media. The visuals came on the television screen when former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri was on commentary.
Shastri highlighted what the conversation might have been stressing on the fact that the other bowlers have not backed Jasprit Bumrah in this Test match so far.
“It (the situation) puts pressure on him. He was the one in control, but when others leak at the other end... at almost 6 runs per over, it takes a toll, even if you're the best bowler in the world,” Shastri said on-air, reacting to the footage after being told Bumrah appeared to be leading the conversation.

India Break Through Post Lunch On Day 3
The likes of Ricky Ponting and Nasser Hussain criticised Shubman Gill’s captaincy as he underbowled Shardul Thakur and Washington Sundar on day 2. While Thakur bowled just five overs on day 2, Sundar was not given the ball at all. It was eventually him who broke the partnership between Ollie Pope (71 runs off 128 balls) and Joe Root. The duo added 147-run stand and batted throughout the first session. Sundar struck again in his next over to send back Harry Brook (3 runs off 12 balls).
